I made a baby-sized quilt today for my niece. Her shower theme was "punk princess" so I decided what's more punk than "baby's first battle blankie" for mom and dad to start the patch collection early. And I decided it had to be made using only repurposed fabric scraps for that extra bit of punk depth.

Just needs a final wash & ironing before I send it off to her.

She's due 3 days after my 40th 😲 we're currently taking bets on if she'll be early or not. πŸ—“οΈ

Lost my live video from my Nest Doorbell about 30 minutes ago, says it's offline but it's still cranking out event recordings and notification pushes. My Nest Hub Max swears it's offline but live video is working on that unit.

The Trans Passport Dramaℒ️ thickens...

I paid for expedited service to correct my gender marker the day after "Class X" was annouced.

We're just now hitting that three week mark since they received it (6/25). Now they're purposefully delaying further! Was the almost $350 they've gotten out of me since January alone not enough?

Also, it says "a letter and/or email" of which I received NO EMAIL. I did put my email address on the passport form, was that not good enough? I clearly got the email letting me know my processing status changed, couldn't they just have attached the fucking form to that? 🧡

But the fun of legal name changes wasn't done yet, oh not by a long shot.

We're now at the point of the credit bureaus trying to process my legal name change via disputes.

❌ Equifax refused my dispute 3 times before finally agreeing to update my name, then dropped my credit score 23 points for no reason.
‼️ Experian refused my name changed twice, then finally accepted the update before completely wiping out my FICO Score. 😲

Experian nuking my FICO Score cost me two low interest rates; one card jumped from sub-10% to 22.9%, another card jumped from 13.99% to 30.74%. Both creditors citied my sudden lack of a FICO Score as a red-flag level risk indicator.

These are accounts I've had for 10+ years that have never missed a payment, never been late, and were always paid in full every month.

I was given no recourse with either creditor & told to be glad they didn't outright close my accounts.

Knowing they assigned me a gender I do not identify with is a constant reminder my country's government is run by a bunch of bigoted idiots who behave like defiant toddlers.

I reached out to the ACLU; I tagged them in social media posts, emailed them, & even filled out their trans passport problems survey. I emailed Lambda Legal in hopes of some advice.

No response. From any of them. πŸ₯²

What's it take to get proper ID other than complete destruction of the Republican party as it exists today?

On 2/27 I find in my mailbox the supporting documents returned from the Dept of State. An envelope with my notarized court order, my original passport in my now-deadname, and this letter.

MY INFORMATION DIDN'T NEED "CORRECTED"! X IS MY CORRECT CHOICE!

From now on I'm purposefully misgendering anyone openly supporting the GOP. Let's see how they like having their gender assigned by a stranger. Yes I'm that pissed off.
