Bandit was experimenting with a new combat technique 😆
She spent several minutes following Minnie around like this.
There is a hotel I have stayed at several times that continues to make me think it's actually a stealth escape room. There is art all over the hotel that seems to be puzzles, but I've never spent the time to actually solve them.
Note that the hard to see top left image here is a street map of a city, divided into diamonds, where very other diamond is transposed with another somewhere else on the map. Faint red cursive text appears to have been written on the map before the transposition.
I'm not sure what to make of the braille guide and the "Row" graphic, but it does strike me that "row" is almost a visual palindrome in braille.
Elsewhere in the hotel other art is paired with Morse code guides. The presence of the "standard ciphers" really triggers my puzzle hunt / escape room instincts.
This is Fizgig in her happy place.
She actually seemed quite content, despite her expression in this photo.
When she puts her paws up on me like this, it's usually a request for me to lean back so she can climb my chest, but I was unable; I was sitting in a kitchen chair because her sister Minnie had stolen my computer chair.
After learning yesterday about the island of Stroma, I've become increasingly convinced that it needs to be the setting for some sort of survival horror game.
I mean, it's an entire abandoned island, with an abandoned 19th century village (Nethertown!), mostly still standing, that's frequently unreachable. And the map just feel perfect*.
The only real drawback I'm seeing is that it feels like the monster would have to be hungry sheep.
