Trump himself keeps complaining that if the government can come after him, they can come after anyone, and in a way that's true: If Trump has to pay, then his promise to his supporters falls apart. Only by seeing that Trump receives punishment on the scale of anyone else charged with the same crimes can his supporters be convinced that their bully can’t protect them. That the next pardon won’t have their name on it. That eventually, everyone has to pay for their actions. …

What line do Republicans have to cross to be universally acknowledged as enemies of the US & its citizens? When do we revoke their license to oppress people in this country under the color of authority? When do we stop paying them salaries to dismantle our govt?

@GrimmReality The people arguing that it's a violation of their rights probably don't even believe it. It's just the only card they have to play in a debate where they are unequivocally wrong. In those cases where they go believe it, replace "violation of my rights" with "getting in the way of what I want".

The problem with voting for fascists is that you may agree with them now, but when you no longer agree with them there is no way to vote them out. They have made sure of that.
