I was working in Pixelmator Pro and made this image (the picture and ‘Yellowjackets’ logo are from IMDB and Showtime) for my Youtube channel.
I like it. It reminds me somewhat of ‘Nighthawks at the Diner’ by Edward Hopper.

I recently rewatched ‘Alien’ (1979) and while I wouldn’t call it slow, it does take its time establishing the scenario.
I miss that in movies, most which seem hellbent on making their case for being as quickly as possible.
And speaking of ‘Hellbent’ (2004), pretty good movie.
The first two episodes of Peacock's 'Teacup,' while interesting, are kinda odd in that writer/showrunner Ian McCulloch's choice to abandon the brunt of Robert McCammon's novel results in some really strange choices.
Things might iron themselves out in later episodes but so far?
It's just not synching for me.

I enjoyed Adam Wingard's "You're Next" but it's a lot emptier that it perhaps should be.
I'm rewatching 'Sauvage' starring Félix Meritaud and I don't think I've ever seen a movie about prostitution – male or female – that so seemingly honestly explored yearning and the search for love.
I wouldn't call it an easy watch by any stretch of the imagination, but then again it shouldn't be.
I don't know who's the dude on the left in the black chef's coat (Jacket? Smock?) but NO ONE can replace TV's Frank!
NO ONE!😭
The trailer for Bong Joon-ho's 'Mickey 17' dropped yesterday, and there's such a satiric, black joy to the trailer.
I gotta admit that I didn't at all expect that.

I like 'The Manitou' (1978) despite the fact that it's a fairly flawed movie. There are some really interesting ideas and concepts on display but the movie never really deals with any depth what those ideas are.
Which is a pity because the focus on Native American mysticism is an interesting one and not something you see all that often.

Anyone use Lightworks?
I can edit in multiple editors (Final Cut Pro X, Shotcut and Adobe Premiere Pro CC) and was thinking of adding another.
I wasn't aware of Lightworks till I learned that 'Space Precinct' was edited with it.
Gerry Anderson's 'Space Precinct' (1994-1995) was at points tonally inconsistent but fascinating nonetheless and unlike anything else on television.
The greatest problem by my reconing was that while modeled on 'Hill Street Blues' (1981-1987) it seemed to be unsure if it was a family series or a polices serial.
And while those two things can co-exist, they didn't easily in this instance.
