One Thing I Like About 28 Years Later

28 Years Later is full of unconventional flourishes that give it an energy you wouldn’t expect from a story about the post-apocalypse. (No significant spoilers)

Has there been any word of stability issues with the iPadOS 26 developer beta?

It’s the only beta (apart from VisionOS that I’ve already tried) that seems interesting enough to try this early, but I also depend on my iPad to do art for my game.

Since I’ve been frustrated by my own lack of progress on my Playdate game ā€œSound Mind,ā€ I thought it’d cheer me up to compare my original sketch of the game for the pitch doc, with an as-of-today screenshot.

I still can’t draw people very well, but I think the new version is better. #comingsoon #playdate

Apparently Apple found some haunted sea captain ghosts to train their ML models, since the new Persona feature in Vision OS 26 is a lot more true to life (for better or worse).

It still does the thing where it can't tell when I open my mouth, but apart from that it's just as unsettling as I am IRL.

It’s felt like a disappointment or damning with faint praise to say that the standout use case of the Vision Pro is just to watch movies.

But it is *very* good for watching movies. I’ve seen several now, and I kind of love it. I watched Edge of Tomorrow on a 3D screen the size of my office wall.
