So we were watching an Icelandic comedian explain Scandinavia and we learned a few things.
(Side note, I have been to Stockholm, Uppsala, Sigtuna, Solentuna and briefly lost in Märsta on the way. I read a book about Olof Rudbeck once and ever since have had designs on being a polymath. I got mistaken for Finnish while there.)
Yis, we like a people who are good planners. But I have to say, when we do get there and we do speak English…because we identify as mostly Irish background, being proud of speaking English should be kept on the downlow. Gasp, and if we get mistaken for American I will put on the most convincing French accent super quick. Also, I am bringing some masks and they say Canada, for subways and all the crowded places, really depends.
Tip: if you are from Europe and unsure if someone is 🇨🇦or 🇺🇸, we tend to pronounce ‘all’ as ‘oll’. It’s like a shorter sound.
