Anyone know of a MDM solution for home users? I understand it isn't designed for that purpose, but Apple's choices around parental controls leave me few other options.
Well after asking about dogs on Threads, I got a lot of good advice, useless advice, and mutually exclusive advice.
I probably shouldn't be surprised, but kind of am.
Also the number of people dropping in just to order me to adopt from a shelter rather that getting a puppy from a breeder... sure, I'm glad they have opinions, but that doesn't make me more likely to go to a shelter. Not that I'd rule it out.
My wife and I are considering getting a dog. Our children (5.5 & 7) have been asking for one about as long as they have been able to talk and we have started considering if it is time.
Trying to figure out what breed would be a good dog for us. My youngest likes short haired dogs. My wife and I prefer smaller dogs. I really prefer dogs that don't have smooshed noses. We need a breed that will be fine with our friends coming over frequently. We need a dog that isn't going to decide they only like one of us. We would like a dog that will be active and want to play with the children, but won't require an hour of walks every day.
If anyone has any breed recommendations, I'm all ears.
From what I've read, Japanese Spitz, Eskies, and Pomskys are the ones that I really like. My youngest likes Pugs and French Bulldogs.

I think the only way Apple or any App Store should take a cut from these types of apps are if they are processing the payments and then you can charge your 5% or whatever. I feel the same way about Apple trying to take a cut of people who buy ads on Facebook in the Facebook app.
But the real solution, I think, is for Patreon and Substack to just leave the App Store. Fuck it. Leaving is the only way to maybe win. Yes, that might make it worse for your users. Fuck it.
