Dr. Ponnurangam Kumaraguru ("PK") is a Professor of Computer Science at IIT-Hyderabad. He is an Associate Researcher at Robert Bosch Centre for Data Science & AI - IIT Madras, Visiting Faculty at IIT Kanpur and an Adjunct faculty at IIIT Delhi. 'Precog is a group of researchers who build technologies to characterize and predict acts of crime (computer, cyber), and to develop an early warning system that could help policy analysis and law enforcement agencies. We are also interested in building security and privacy systems that are usable, in particular, we focus on systems in the Indian context. Our work derives techniques from Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Mining, Text Mining, Statistics, Social Science, Public Policy, Human Computer Interaction, and Psychology.
