Pronouns - Who, me?

Who / ME?
This sounds AMAZEBAWZ! I just wish it was pressed at a better plant. It gets noisy in places, probably due to it being multicolored vinyl. When you mix colors, sometimes they don't press properly. Let's see what the full ultrasonic treatment will do to get rid of some of that occasional noise. but, the production, and mastering is just incredible. Crazy dynamic range Clean, clear, and bottom to rattle the foundation.
The finished product. I ate way too much. Had these 4, then 2 more. Carnitas Barria. I used pork shoulder instead of beef, because beef would have been 5 times the price. Under we have queso fresco. On top we have cilantro, onion, and salsa verde.
The steeped chills, Mexican cinnamon, tomato, onion, peppercorns, and bay leaves have been puréed with cloves, garlic, cumin, oregano, chicken broth, and a cup of the chili water. It was strained, and added to the pork shoulder.
What am I making????
My feds came in, so I'm treating myself to this berfore they are gone.

Kimi to Koete Koi ni Naru

I absolutely adore this anime.

I'm 2 albums into the Love, Complete Elektra Albums box set, and let me tell you, HOLY SHIZNET, they sound fantastic. Chris Bellman did an outstanding job cutting these. Vinyl is dead quiet, as well. Optimal never disappoints. I'm beside myself.
Some extreme Japanese horror for the holidays...

Daptone Records has been around for quite a few years now. I want to say it all started with Sharon Jones & The Dapkings. The label brought back that classic soul, and R&B music of the 60s and 70s. recorded on vintage equipment, all analog. Some records released in both mono, and stereo. They have a fantastic list of artist.

These guys are somewhat new, with that retro soul sound, reminiscent of classic vocal groups. This is their second full length album. Literally everything I love about those old vocal groups, like The Delfonics. Great stuff.
Excellent pressing. But, everything I have from Daptone is excellent. Great production, great mastering, and the vinyl has a very low noise floor considering it's opaque red.

Thee Sacred Souls "Got A Story To Tell".
Daptone Records, 2024.

Traffic Sound "A Bailar Go Go".

Psychedelic and Prog Rock band from Peru. This mini album was. released in 1969. Another one of those interesting, and VERY RARE, records on my watch list. It leans more into the garage / psyche genre. Vocals sung in English. Obviously for wider appeal.

Now, I had ZERO hopes of finding an original. I also had no hope of finding the 90s reissue. An original fetches $500+ for one in playable condition. The reissue fetches $100+, if you can find a reasonable seller, who is also in the US.

THIS, however, is something as interesting as the band. A three 7" box containing all 6 songs. Four originals, and two covers. The two covers are. "Sueño", originally written and recorded by The Rascals, and "Fire" by Hendrix. Both really good renditions, but the stand outs are the original compositions. I know, three singles, meaningI have to flip between songs, then change the record every two. Worth it for the music, and not mortgaging a house to own.
