Genius, Boudoir Athlete, Bon-vivant. Words that have all been used to describe me. Admittedly not often and mostly by me but they have been used.

Still playing Space 1889 (using Savage Worlds), make-believe colonialism and jingoism volume 11.

Because all are old enough to know it is all made up.

Same logic drives my Deadlands:Reloaded characters. They can be murderous, untrustworthy swine who rarely bathe except in blood. I am none of those things.

I can play Diplomacy without bringing the in-game treachery of other players home to fester, too.

To judge by some younger gamers' posts, I am doing it wrong.

Oh well.

@glennf More "experts" who can't understand that a hellish commute on the bloody LIRR to work in an office full of people holding a cacophony of different TEAMS meetings at the same time is not preferable to working from an armchair in blessed peace and quiet. And all those dog-whistles for "we can't spy on them at home to check they are working". Mentoring my arse.

Damn. Al Jaffe now.

The Universe is coming apart at the seams.

Merlin the Magician, Catherine Howard, Jane Seymour, Morning Has Broken, all delivered at original recording speed, flawlessly, c/w twiddly bits.

The skill, the talent, the work involved to achieve this is gobsmacking.

My hat was off figuratively, and literally.

By the cringe, Rick Wakeman blew my socks off at the Paramount in Huntington tonight.

His Elenor Rigby by McCartney/Prokofiev was an absolute belter.

How are his fingers still able to play these pieces he wrote in the 1970s, when prog rockers got paid by the note? My hands ached just watching, and I can’t play.

If you haven’t caught his one man show yet, do yourself a favour and do so.

I'll be hosting West Side Warriors, an RPG about street gangs terrorising NYC with no-holds-barred choreography and ultra-violence, at the Long Island Tabletop Gaming Expo at the Cradle of Aviation March 18th & 19th. If you happen to be there, make yourself known.

@georgetakei Break a leg, sir. May the production be a runaway success.

Just rewatched one of my guilty pleasures - Larry Crowne. Brilliant performance.

@Happy_Belmore @conradhackett What peoplr seem to want is Star Trek technology - no downside talk-into-the-air-and-get-an-intelligent-response.

And of course, they want it for free. We live in an Internet 2.0 world, whatever that ever meant.

What they get is an always-on audio feed from their home to who-knows-where. I’m struggling to understand the wisdom of connecting one of these things to a power source and letting it use one’s network.

The week before Thanksgiving Twitter fires 4K workers, Amazon fires 10K workers, Facebook fires 11K workers, and Disney plans thousands of layoffs—all while US Billionaire pandemic wealth increased an absurd $1.7T.😳

A reminder that billionaires don’t create jobs—they exploit workers.

Tax billionaires. Unionize workers.

In Victorian time-traveler drag.
