@HauntedCheeseburger @brandewinder you can use Wine for pretty much any Windows software, I don't actually do much on my PC outside of Steam for games and my web browser, I don't typically play competitive online games so anti cheat has never been an issue for me, getting a live USB just to dip your toes in doesn't hurt, it will run super slow since it's running off USB though, alternatively dual boot like I did at first until you've found alternatives

@brandewinder I switched to Linux Mint a few years ago, I started with a dual booted PC which is great for trying to transition, eventually I ended up just removing Windows because I stopped using it

@WINGS_radio as somebody from a constitutional carry state who frequently travels between states, I'm not able to carry my guns with me since I go to states like New York and California, even if I did have a carry license, I've been followed by people with road rage before that have vandalized my property, if they were to confront me directly I wouldn't have a way to defend myself

@WINGS_radio you'd still need a background check to purchase a firearm
