@fedora Does anyone know how to get the new spectacle OCR functionality working under Fedora? I tried installing tesseract and tesseract-langpack-eng, but nothing; spectacle doesn't seem to display the OCR button...

@adrien_d S'il te plait, n’arrête pas ces vidéos : c'est grace à elles que j'ai appris les bases de Linux/terminal... Elles sont toutes géniales et très explicatives (c'est mieu que de lire des man et --help 😉)

@itsfoss 2025 was the year I switched distributions several times a month, which allowed me to realize that there's always something better than our current distribution, so we just need to stick with one that works. That's why, in 2026, I'm staying with Fedora.

@omgubuntu I'm using the development version of ghostty for one simple raison : the stable release does not have a scroll bar...

@fedora Fedora is a good distribution for first Linux usage, but I tend to recommend Ubuntu because the majority of linux software are Debian packages, and if the user search help in internet, the majority of guides are designed for Debian/Ubuntu. Moreover, the post-installation is so simple on Ubuntu, because the NVIDIA driver is proposed in installer, as well as multimedia codecs.
