They say flowers bought with love last longer. I suspect this has to do with the intent and care put behind the purchase.
If someone walks into the store in a rush to buy some flowers, they’re going to pick out whatever looks best at a glance and leave. These flowers could be showing subtle signs of aging they didn’t pick up on.
If someone walks into the store and actually puts some time and effort into picking out the flowers, they’ll notice little imperfections on each bundle until they find the perfect one. Therefor, if you walk in the store and really try to pick out some nice flowers, they’re of course going to last longer. Hence: flowers bought with love last longer.

People that break their phones more than once every 10 years astound me. How are you about to drive a literal multi-ton piece of metal and plastic designed to be crushed in an accident for safety reasons and never crash it, but you buy a $1200 iPhone, and you break it before a year is up. What are you *doing*? The people in the world around me truly do not understand how to treat their possessions, and it irks me.
