Befriedigendes Gameplay, bei dem man einen Alienplaneten wiederherstellt. Entspannt, gute Musik, kompetentes Voice Acting. Und ein Mystery! Erinnert von Stimmung und Flow stark an Prince of Persia (2008). Einfach sehr angenehm von vorn bis hinten. #gaming
So this is a thing that is VERY VERY much nowhere near done yet, but I want to share what I've got so far. It's a list of as many retro games as I can find which had a trans person on the dev team or otherwise involved in some way, along with a quick summary of who and what they did. It's partially an attempt to counter the narrative that trans people are some New Thing that's only just showed up on the gameing scene and also society in general, which sometimes these kinds of lists can accidentally imply, and also it's just kind of a fun bit of HEY LOOK AT ALL THIS COOL SHIT TRANS PEOPLE DID. I've found over 170 games so far, with quite a lot I'm still to properly go off on.
(Edit: That's over 230 games now. Thank you SO much people who've pointed me at stuff I've missed. I'll be working on trying to play all of these and write up stuff about the ones I haven't really said anything about yet.)
Das Spiel ist insofern auch interessant, weil die ganze Kampagne zwar, nun, eine vollwertige Kampagne ist - gleichzeitig aber auch ein Tutorial, das bis zu den Credits geht. Jede Mission wird ein neues Spielelement eingeführt, das zentral für die jeweilige Mission ist. Der Gegner baut Angstfallen? Hier ist der Kerker, mit dem man gefangene Gegner in furchtlose Skelette verwandelt.
So etwas kenne ich von modernen Spielen nicht mehr, wo man in 15 bis spätestens 60 Minuten ALLES durchgeprügelt hat
Durchgespielt: #Pseudoregalia
Immens spaßiges Bewegungssystem, das viel Übung und Geschick erfordert, dafür aber sehr belohnend ist. Mit etwas Kreativität und weiterem Geschick kann man sich gut in Areale schummeln, in denen man noch nicht sein sollte. Leveldesign ist bewusst auf PS1-Niveau gehalten. Das ist charmant, mangels einer besseren Karte, einer Notizfunktion oder sonstigen QoL-Features der 2000er verläuft man sich ohne Zettel und Stift aber sehr schnell. Schöne Animationen. #gaming
