@macinjosh It could just be a seller trying to do the honest thing. Perhaps the original listing had the condition of the item marked as “used” and after finding out that it doesn’t work as they thought it did, they decided to remove the listing? If you purchased it and found it to not work, you would have grounds for a refund or potentially leave bad feedback. It seems they took the safe route.

Offering it to you at a discount with you acknowledging it doesn’t work seems like a nice thing for them to do. Unless there were other fishy circumstances about the interaction, I likely would have taken them up on the offer. I enjoy troubleshooting and repairing things, so buying broken things cheap and fixing them up is my preference!

Then again, it could still be a scam 🤷
