@jonny I gotta Cowichan sweater my grandad wore almost religiously whenever the temperature dropped. When he passed, I claimed it because I was too young to get the keys to his Lancia.
Since growing into it, I wear it almost daily for half the year, it’s hand knit and still in beautiful condition after 30+ years in my personal possession. Grandad probably picked it up over the boarder in BC in the 70s, it’s some peak Starsky & Hutch shit.
Oh, and I wear it as a outer layer, over an old insulated trucker’s flannel. As it’s knitted from unscoured wool so it’s more water repellent than any of that carcinogenic plastic shit you get from the likes of Patagonia.
