"Studying" mechanical engineering, because machines are kinda cool :3

Also building temperature probes for a living :/

I like playing with computers, even if I don't have a clue about what I'm doing.

Pretty invested in machine-tools and prototype part production in the homeshop or hackerspace, from lathes and mills, to 3D-printers and EDM-machines.

Gender is complicated for my little brain.

Pronounsshe/her prefered, but anything is fine

sleepingusually between ~05:00-15:00 (varys a lot tho ./)

@Rentin for comparision the way the underside looks like rn, was the whole assembly before we started.

(We haven't fixed that because we will need to cut it away partly to fit it to my machine)

I'm currently reconstructing my watch makers lathe / mill combo for hobby use. Today I spent 10h taking apart and cleaning the whole compound slide assembly for >10h together some help by @Rentin (she was doing the same to another machine).

I'm so proud of this baby, but holy hell I'm tired.

Bought some more lathes... lets hope this doesn't turn into an addiction.
dipping my toes into linux on mobile for the first time (many thanks to @adrianyyy) #postmarketos
nein, mir war garnicht langweilig oder so

so i’m heading to the UK and (as is almost tradition) I wanted to import some drinks with me (because the UK has neither Spezi nor Mate)

Unfortunately, Frankfurt (where I started the journey today) had one store absolutely out of Mate and Spezi, and others were too far for me to get to.

So I jokingly asked @famfo whether he would go on a fetch quest and deliver me some to my train, as it was passing through Aachen. And the mad lad actually did it

vielen dank @famfo und @Rentin !!

@Rentin and I touching gras- I mean ground
In other news, I finally milled the motor mounting plate for the fourth axis I've been working on. Now the belt drive (two pulleys and two idlers to maximize pulley-belt engagement), the front bearing shield and the chuck mount (fitting one shrink-fit, drilling three holes (in stainless :/) and turning a centering boss) are missing.
I have spend about two hours scraping, and I can not really tell any difference except for the feeling in my arms.
Why do I do this shit?
