I’m interested in several Open Movements that help create megatrends in Open Education & Open Science.
If increases in the number of micro-tremors in Iceland are seen by experts as being a predictable pattern of a major volcanic event soon to happen, you would think likewise that a similar pattern showing an increase of the number micro-tremors in any Earthquake region would be also indicative of a major earthquake soon to happen. Is California ready for its next major Earthquake in Imperial Valley, California…epicenter near Calexico? Probably not. Enjoy 🙂
@science @climate-change-and-you-science The Science Desk, Extreme Heat will result in redesigning basic Thermometers that measure heat above 125 degrees Fahrenheit. Albedo Heat, reflective heat off surfaces, for example, pavement & buildings creates solar cooker cities for humans living in them, putting them at more risk for heat exhaustion & heat stroke. It’s easy to predict that the CDC & WHO will list Heat Stroke increasing each year globally as a leading cause of human death.
@LeibnizIOS LeibnizIOS/ Open Education/ EUIntegration, It’s the integrative “Ease of Use” that makes integration possible on a global scale. For example, you can visit the Digital Commons Network at http://network.bepress.com & select a field of interest & begin reading Open Access academic articles/papers within it. Digital Commons also provides you with a visual global readership map showing where & what other people are reading at the moment. Enjoy 🙂

@ArnieNicola @pregnancy-babies-ArnieNicola Arnie Nicola, I examine trends happening globally. I submitted resources for Extreme Heat & Heat Stress to MERLOT https://www.merlot.org five years ago. It’s easy to see today that millions of people are unprepared for extreme, catastrophic weather events happening where it was unthinkable in years past. Enjoy :-)

@COVID19_DISEASE Pandemics are more predictable! It’s possible today to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to read & scan millions of academic research preprints & papers, highlighting research studies that clinicians & researchers should know about. We learn from mistakes made, such as not being logistically, proactively prepared with PPEs for the next possible pandemic that can happen sooner than expected like H5N1/H5N2 Avian Flu mutations occurring with this year’s COVID-19/Flu season. Enjoy:-)
@CaramelizedShallots I would not be surprised if we see within the foreseeable future more young, healthy people in their thirties dying from sudden heart attacks due to nano/microplastics accumulating in their circulatory system creating inflammatory clogged arteries. I have not seen any studies of PFOS/PFAS levels in human blood being done by the CDC, but CDC should consider doing it. Enjoy ;-)
@TheCoolDown @the-cool-down-TheCoolDown Cool Down, It’s interesting that archaeologists have misinterpreted the end of the Mayan Calendar as in 2012 as the “Year of the Jaguar” when in fact it’s the “20 year period of the Jaguar” ending in 2032, eight yrs. from now. The Mayans had keen awareness of astronomy & climate change cycles, such as water scarcity & droughts/ catastrophic flooding that would undermine their civilizations & create massive migrations into America. Enjoy 🙂
@nhc_bot It’s interesting when you view the Pacific Ocean with Ocean mean temperature rise has had more recent activity in the quick formation & strong intensity of typhoons (hurricanes) like Acapulco, Mexico. I would not be surprised if Hawaii & the California coastline experiences them too in the near foreseeable future. Enjoy 🙂
@fansided @travel-fansided It’s good that the CDC is screening dogs for rabies entering the United States, but the CDC can also monitor for other viruses like Avian Flu. When you consider dogs/foxes instinctively hunt & kill wild birds & wild birds carry newly identifiable Avian Flu mutation variants, a possible contagion vector crossover of Avian Flu from canines to humans exists. It may have already happened with fatal human consequences, a girl in Britain (Sky News)? Enjoy :-)
NOAA/ Geomagnetic Storm/ Solar Flares/ EMPs, Companies like EmpShield https://www.empshield.com & Faraday Defense https://shop.faradaydefense.com are probably doing good business today selling their EMP devices to protect the microchip components/electronics on all cars/vehicles sold after the year 1972 from becoming fried/toast & totally useless/non-driveable when/if a major Carrington Event happens agains on Earth. Enjoy :-)
