I’m interested in several Open Movements that help create megatrends in Open Education & Open Science.
If increases in the number of micro-tremors in Iceland are seen by experts as being a predictable pattern of a major volcanic event soon to happen, you would think likewise that a similar pattern showing an increase of the number micro-tremors in any Earthquake region would be also indicative of a major earthquake soon to happen. Is California ready for its next major Earthquake in Imperial Valley, California…epicenter near Calexico? Probably not. Enjoy 🙂
NOAA/ Geomagnetic Storm/ Solar Flares/ EMPs, Companies like EmpShield https://www.empshield.com & Faraday Defense https://shop.faradaydefense.com are probably doing good business today selling their EMP devices to protect the microchip components/electronics on all cars/vehicles sold after the year 1972 from becoming fried/toast & totally useless/non-driveable when/if a major Carrington Event happens agains on Earth. Enjoy :-)
EMP & Lightning Protection

The Worlds First Military Compliant Whole Home and Vehicle EMP Protection Device. EMP Defense for Solar Systems, Generators, Houses, Cars, Ham Radio and More

EMP Shield
Allen Institute/ Cellular Morphology/ Open Science: Are Zombie neurons found in the human brain similar to Zombie cells found in the human pancreas? Enjoy 🙂
The Open Source Movement made possible the other Open Movements that followed possible. The invention of the Hyperlink in 1995 at Carnegie-Mellon University made possible the linking of open data & information necessary for the wide-spread global development of Open Education. The earliest Open Textbooks that were freely available to the general public were Open Hypertext Textbooks, such as those found at Free-Ed.net & Wiki Media, aka Wikibooks. Enjoy 😊
National Weather Service, It’s interesting that Google’s AI Flood Hub Model has a Flood warning indicator for the Humboldt River rising outside of Elko, Nevada (near Primenaux) for Saturday March 23, 2024 & today’s NWS predicts rain on Friday March 22, 2024 but zero prediction for Flood warning alert for NWS Elko. If the AI model is correct there should be a Palm Sunday flood alert on Sunday March 24, 2024. Enjoy 😊
Open Education/ Open Science/ Creative Commons, In the near foreseeable future, AI ChatGPT XR (XR=Extended Reality: AR, MR & VR) will allow users with XR headsets to “say what you what you want to explore, interact, & view further in more detail” with Live interactive 360 degree XR locations/environments & 3D STEM Education Models, including generated AI ChatGPT Txt to AI Videos/3D Models from identifiable [peer-reviewed/vetted] keywords. Enjoy 😊
Open Science/ Open Research/ Open Education: Open Access Week is a good time to celebrate Preprints & their important role in disseminating Open Research during & beyond the COVID-19 pandemic! ArXiv (Physics…) https://www.arxiv.org ; MedRXiv (Health Sciences) https://www.medrxiv.org ; BioRxiv (Biology) https://www.biorxiv.org ; & Open Science Framework https://www.osf.io/preprints . Enjoy 😊

Climate Action/ Climate Change Toolkit: Medical Emergencies often occur without warning. Are You Ready? STOP: Stop, Think, Observe, & Plan. Types of First Aid Kits: 1) Boo Boo Kit; 2) Basic First Aid/CPR/AED: Business/ Commercial / Contractor/ School; 3) Travel: Automotive/ Motorcycle/ Cruise; 4) Dental First Aid Kit; 5) Pet First Aid kit (animals); 6) Individual First Aid Kit (IFAk); 7) First Aid for Severe Trauma (FAST)/ Stop the Bleed/Treat Severe Trauma; 8) Long-term First Aid Kit .Enjoy :-)
Climate Change and natural disasters associated with it will create more emergency plans for ordinary people, their families and communities what they can do to help others in times of crisis.
Climate Change: In the near foreseeable future, human society living once again as troglodytes to survive extreme heat waves. Enjoy 😊
