@gallowglass I ran a couple of sessions. I liked it fine. Very reminiscient of OD&D.
Very simple system that mostly just focuses on getting out of your way IMO.
When new game makers ask me for advice, the first thing I ask them is, "Do you want to be a game designer or a game publisher?"
It's really a trick question, but it's intended to demonstrate they are two different skillsets and disciplines that both require effort in order to be successful (even marginally).
So far my experience with Mastodon has been that local timelines are great, but take multiple accounts, and the federated timeline is... not good, no matter what instance I'm on.
I think my ideal experience would be a way to merge multiple timelines into a personal curated federated timeline. What's the fediverse equivalent of a pocket dimensions?
@Dauntless Fair enough. Another way to approach it is to focus on the details that a satellite cant really deduce.
Theres ruins on this planet in this jungle, there are some life forms there.
Thats kinda wide open still for exploration.
I would still be tempted to go with hexes within hexes, solar system->Planet->Hemisphere->Continent->etc.
