Words can be harmful even if you don’t mean them to be. If the slur doesnt apply to you, you should not be using it. If it does apply to you, there is a discussion to be had, but i still avoid using the slurs that apply to me in most cases because they are rarely have a positive effect on the point or joke i am making.
