@benjaminwittes Interesting that the $44 billion computer has to take so long repopulating everything.

Like when you go to the bank and their computer's down, you can wait in the lobby while your account is gradually restored one dollar at a time.

@jentaub Maybe you should be aware of this thread. With all these "instances" it seems this could be back to the wild west, if any server can make its own rules and even hold accounts hostage for ransom?? Why can't someone just make a new Twitter, a different name dot com, centrally hosted?

@kathygriffin Yes, your display name is not your "moniker" and you can type "I am a chocolate chip cookie" there if you want!

I'm interested to know if we the Tweeple would have grounds for a class action suit. I've been there 15 years and have spent countless hours mini-blogging (as some call it) content, and curating follows/followers etc. -- a significant investment of time and effort -- and he seems interested in crashing the site to smithereens.

Daniel Radcliffe was also suspended btw.

@jentaub I followed you here and you're my first! I'm not overly-posty anddon't clog up feeds. Could I talk you, my first, into reciprocal follow? Raaawb & Taub? Howzabout!

P.S. - Why couldn't some smart person have gotten, say, Tooter.com, uncomplicated with "servers" - and then we could just start Tooting to heart's content?

@dkmarsh @jentaub I had a hard time with that too, then went back and got through! Might be necessary to log in via web first. Then open app and just type in the server (or whatever it's called) you used; in my case mstdn.social. Then below you'll find it "listed" and so select it... then you should be in!
