@Mimirocah1 @jentaub reblog is kind of like retweeting, it puts the post in the feeds of your followers. Star tells the author & others that you like the post, but unlike a "like" on Twitter, it does not boost or promote the post into the feeds of your followers.

@qwosl @Mimirocah1 @jentaub I prefer that. A “like” should be a private engagement between you and the author, IMO. Leaves the choice to share with your followers to you. And makes people more comfortable engaging.

@jentaub Another app-v.-website conundrum. I cannot log in on the Mastodon app, with the same credentials that work fine on both desktop and phone websites. “Invalid Email address or password.” Is this a known issue? Thx.

@dkmarsh @jentaub I had a hard time with that too, then went back and got through! Might be necessary to log in via web first. Then open app and just type in the server (or whatever it's called) you used; in my case mstdn.social. Then below you'll find it "listed" and so select it... then you should be in!
