Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has made $1 billion from the company. Earlier this year he laid off more than 10,000 workers.

Hard to think of a better example of inequality in tech and the wider economy.

Completion of ceramics with generative models for Cultural Heritage studies | Celia Cintas

Why is it important to study fragments in Cultural Heritage Studies? Ceramic potteries are one of the most frequently discovered archaeological artifacts. Since they are usually short-lived (in archeological terms), researchers find these artifacts useful to analyze chronological and geographical features, given that shape and decoration are subject to significant changes over time and space […]

“Despite the barriers I’ve encountered on my path—and in part because of them—I still dream of becoming a professor. But I’m tired of having to build resiliency, work on self-care strategies, and mentally process microaggressions that don’t feel “micro” at all. I—and other Black scientists—want to bloom where we are planted, just like everyone else.”

Such true words by Dr Keisha Hardeman.

I’m a Black scientist, tired of facing racism and exclusion from academia

“I am forever being reminded, in ways big and small, that many think I don’t belong,” this postdoc writes
