I ran this "Labyrinth of Nerocythis" with some clients about a year and a half ago - and I have to say it was a really fulfilling experience as a GM - it was a great way to introduce tension and induce attention to surroundings!
I've been inspired a lot by Fromsoft's methods lately - but it always seems curious to me that their descriptions happen from a kind of limited omniscience.
I've been really curious especially about intentionally inserting a subjective perspective into descriptions - making them come from a character (or from a small range of characters) to emphasize their being embedded in the fiction.
