with Alex Jones being let back on twitter and Elon Musk trying to rehabilitate his image, I want to point out his revisionism with Sandy Hook.
He now characterizes the whole thing as if he just asked a few questions about Sandy Hook.

In fact, he directly insulted parents and mocked videos of them crying over the loss of their children.

Elon Musk asks Alex Jones about ‘the whole Sandy Hook thing’ and Jones apologizes again
Far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones issued another apology for his comments about the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting Sunday, as tech billionaire Elon Musk asked him about the controversy amid his reinstatement on Musk’s platform X (formerly Twitter). The Infowars host was pressed on the issue during an appearance on X Spaces livestream co-hosted…
The Hillya know, I'm kinda tired of these ownage posts that'll be like
American: Hey, in England they have a candy bar called "Curlywurly" that's kind of funny.
Some British Dude: Oh yeah, well a bunch of kids die in american school shootings. How's THAT for funny?
is there a term for quantifying how much engaging with a certain type of content on social media will make the platform's algorithm recommend more of that content for you.
Like, there's content that I actively seek out multiple times, but the algorithm never seems to want to promote their content for me.
There's other content where if I accidentally let one video play for like 5 seconds, they'll dominate my feed.
maybe the term could be something like "social media stickiness"?
“Trans people aren’t a threat to anyone; hate born by ignorance is. All trans (including non binary) people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, no matter who we are and where we are at with our medical and social transition. Look beyond the hype and fear-mongering in the press. Become the representation you want to see yourself.” Fox Fisher

I just had an epiphany about the whole "body count" discourse. I'm pretty sure it has far less to do with anybody's actual preferences, and far more to do with crafting an envy-motivated revenge fantasy.
Bitter men can assure themselves that they will have the last laugh , because when women have sex with other men (sex they feel they should be the ones getting to have) those women are metaphysically destroying themselves.
I see all these youtube videos titled like "Conservative ABSOLUTELY DESTROYS a CRAZY LEFTIST college student" and... if you feel the need to poison the well that much that might be a good sign that what's actually being said isn't actuallt that persuasive.
and if you pause to watch one of those videos, the algorithm will feed you nothing but the most pseudo-prodound, banal, bigoted shit for the next hundred videos
way too much of youtube shorts is people saying incredibly vapid and trite things that are supposed to seem profound because they're said in a confident tone of voice and played with motivational dubstep in the background.
I've been listening to a Roman history podcast and I felt inspired to make some doodles of Caligula. The first is somewhat accurate to depictions of him, the rest I took a lot more liberties.
