@gamingonlinux Hello Liam, i just discovered a hardware bug and how to fix it with the Steamdeck and the Mayflash F500 Flat leverless controler.

The SOCD doesn't work as intended when connecting the mayflash to the SD (using the official dock, something i didn't mentioned anywhere now that i think about it)

Valve steamdeck docking station might be the most horrible piece of gaming hardware i have ever possessed.

I spent close to 4h troubleshooting after the last update bricked it.
There is no easy way to rollback a firmware, the official troubleshooting page is a joke.
You have to find reddit post of users having solved that on their own,
And it's also buggy as hell when dayly driving it anyway.

For how much it cost, it's really close to be a scam product.

So they really did say "fuck it, let's burn the world !" ?

I've finaly managed to force my #Steamdeck to recognise azerty external keyboards as is and not force onto me that damnable qwerty layout.

I still find janky that valve force the world to be in qwerty when connecting your regional keyboard on the SD in gaming mode. I mean, it's not like chatting on pc games is a thing...

as for the solution, in desktop mode, open up the "/etc/environment" file by tiping it into the explorer, then write in "XKB_DEFAULT_LAYOUT=xx" with xx being your language.

I didn't not expect to start my week with a water leak. It's stopped for now but there's some plumbing to be changed.

Still, no hot water in the shower until it's fixed for good, which ain't good.
I could have the blues, i'll just be blued by the cold water each day until it's over.
