@selzero I buy far more books than I get time to read.
I'm planning for my retirement.

@gethin76 it was the "House Wine" on Virgin Atlantic for a while.
They asked them to remove the Welsh Dragon from the bottle, but they refused :)
We went to a tasting night many years ago, in the Gallery Bistro in Barry, with the owner. She told some great stories about the move to france, building the brand etc. It was a really good night
Wine is built on terroir (the soil/land) and provenance (the story/history).
The owner being lovely and funny really helps the provenance ;)
@gethin76 nice.
One of my favourite wines is Domaine Du Seuil Cadillac.
Made by the daughter of a woman from Barry.
(Her mum married a banker, they retired to France and bought a Château with vineyard. Upon retirement the daughter and her husband now run it)
@MarkAsser
That's not the saddest thing.
That's when you have about 8 pairs of reading glasses and you can't find a pair when you want to read something.
They cluster. Usually in the bathroom due to reading your phone on the loo.

Had a good day today. Went and saw the BBC centenary thing in the museum, had some noodles in St davids and came home and watched Sci-Fi shorts on YouTube.
Had a rough couple of weeks. Feeling a bit more grounded today.
Life is good. And summer is approaching.
I have, as far as I'm aware, never had Covid.
However, I have been diagnosed with Sarcoidosis and Apnea, and I have an appointment in the 1st week of Jan to get a CPAP machine.
Yeah.
I read the COVID numbers are rocketing again and the number of people hospitalised from Covid is currently higher than Mid Pandemic.
Suffice to say, my mental state is like a ping-pong ball mid game.
As they say, we live in interesting times.....
Day 1 of the @Beer52HQ advent calendar is "Have you heard about the brindle whippet" an American Porter from @DBBrewery
