@[email protected] oh I see. In that book, not at all really. It’s more of a public facing project. I do discuss Foucault very briefly in my first book in context of anti-institutional movements of 60s and 70s, but not on anti-psychiatry.
@[email protected] in my@second book, Circuit Riders for Mental Health, I wrote a short section about an anti-mental health movement that had a virulent expression in late 50s/ early 60s Texas. Not sure if that’s what you had in mind?
An #introduction post. Like many others I’m looking for something better than the bird. I’m a history professor at Texas A&M U in San Antonio. I’ve published books about the history of juvenile justice and mental health in Texas, as well as other shorter pieces on related topics in U.S. national, comparative, and transnational contexts.
