Issues with executive function, and overall a walking mess of a human being
they/them
Texas, US

Things are still rough, this year’s progress report is that life has been stagnant in pretty much every aspect. My parents haven’t made things easy and I feel like I’m being stretched too thin with nothing in return.

Despite all that, I’m trying to enjoy the little things.

I didn't work for all of June.

The rural lifestyle isn't for me. I've had to start selling things to make ends meet. I can't just go out and help at the shop pro bono like I used to because that'd be around $60 of fuel every 3 days. Going into town is an expense I can't afford.

I was told that there would be a meeting for the mentor program potentially having a second wind for July, but I haven't heard anything regarding that. So I'd have to assume, I'm out of a job for all of July as well.

It's been a year, there was supposed to be a summer mentor program this year too, but the superintendent to the school board cancelled it the very day before our first meeting.

My boss has been ghosting me lately, I'm unsure if it's intentional or not, but he's a very busy person. He hasn't been able to pay me for my work lately, so I think I understand why he wouldn't want to have me be there.

"not like that!"

What do you mean the normal amount of anxiety and depression is "none" ???

Being a pacifist leads to a lot of tedious conversations because I'll say something like "man I feel like we'd have fewer problems if there was less violence", and then a violent person will immediately reply with a contrived hypothetical situation that they think is a witty takedown that proves the necessity of violence, and it's just like, an example of yet another problem that was caused by violence. Or something like that. Like, cool beans man.

Kind of a “what have I been up to” post:

• I’m currently in a mentor program at a local high school, funding and equipment provided by the independent school district.

• I moved to a new location, far more rural and secluded than I’d like. Internet options are scarce and limited in bandwidth.

• Travelled to Chicago to help my sister pack up and move in. Easily drove more than 2,000 miles in 2 days worth of time.

That’s all I can fit into one post, the past month has been chaotic.
