Hello #feditips people, I need help trying to join an instance, when I go to the instances site, it usually takes me to (instance name)/about. But while I can see everything about the instance from there I cannot join it.
When I click the 'create account" button it takes me to Mastodons site where I cannot even find the instance

I have a dream. That one day every person in this nation will control their own instance. A social media of the truly free, dammit. A social media of federation, not private APIs, ruled by many, not monopolys! Where the social media changes to suit the individual, not the other way around. Where power and justice are back where they belong: in the hands of the USERS! Where every man is free to think - to act - for himself! FUCK all these limp-dick billionaires and chickenshit stockholders. FUCK this 24-hour Internet spew of tweets and celebrity bullshit! FUCK Twitter pride! FUCK the social media! FUCK ALL OF IT! Twitter is diseased. Rotten to the core. There's no saving it - we need to pull it out by the roots. Wipe the slate clean. BURN IT DOWN! And from the ashes, a new social media will be born. Evolved, but untamed! The bird will be purged and the instances will thrive - free to rule as they see fit, they'll make social media great again!... In my new social media, people will create and host for what they BELIEVE! Not for advertisers. not for rules! Not for what they're told is right. Every man will be free to post his own post!
