I live in "war ravaged" Portland, Oregon (well technically a suburb thereof) and I'm an obsessive gardener. If it's and outdoor green plan I have probably either grown it or want to. I post plant pictures (with alt text) over on Instagram under Passionatepropagator. And yes that was a bad name choice. I also enjoy reading, sewing, knitting and swimming (old, fat and slow master's swimmer) and hating on Trump and his evil minions.
@hoco @georgetakei So he should totally do it.
@PhoenixSerenity Where was this picture taken and do you know the species? It's really a lovely picture. The only really white erythronium I know of is montanum and it's devilishly hard to grow in cultivation.
Trillium kurabayashii x albidum. My own hybrid. I'm not convinced they aren't just color variants of the same species because they cross so easily. #BloomScrolling
@robertpi There's always room for more fucking daffodils!
@mikemccaffrey @futurebird Damned ants are all over the place in Beaverton too. We're fans of Terro ant bait. I put it on plastic plant labels and leave them around where the ants our. They'll soon pony up to the trough. You do have to rebait when the next batch hatches. But then I have no problem killing ants. If you do I got nothing.
@mcnado Shit, we're flying this coming Friday.
@Remittancegirl Self drafted? If so you are a brave woman.
@mappingsupport Salmon Berries have pretty flowers but I wouldn't trust them, or any other rubus, in my garden. Ribes sanguineum aka flowering currant make good garden plants in the PNW. They aren't real fond of a lot of summer water however.
@mappingsupport Um, that's not a flowering currant. Looks more like a Salmon Berry flower to me.
Narcissus bulbocodium or close relative thereof. Seed grown.
