“Screw the box, I think outside the straight jacket.” — Mad Hatter

Head's up, Mastodon users: There appears to be a coordinated effort to impersonate relatively high-profile people who have accounts on various instances but who have not used them in a while.

I've gotten several follow notifications - and a couple of DMs - from impersonators of people I know. The bogus accounts have lots of underscores in the handles, and they repost items from the past, sometimes years old. If you spot this, please report, do not engage, and then block.

Pls boost.

Given all the discourse today about Bluesky vs. X... seems like good timing for @[email protected]'s latest video on just how bad X has become... www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7ZG...

Star Trek 60th Anniversary countdown: 240 days to go.

In July 1967, during the hiatus between Star Trek's first and second seasons, Gold Key Comics (part of Whitman Publishing) published the first issue of the Star Trek comic book. The first issues featured covers using photos from the TV series episodes. The stories published were completely independent of those presented on TV and are not considered canon with the series. In total, 61 issues were published until March 1979.
