Saturn, when viewed in the near-infrared methane absorption band, appears blue. You're able to peer through the upper hazes into the clouds below and the bands and belts start to take shape. It's still false color, but almost looks like a whole new planet.

The planets to scale in every way... plus dwarf planets Ceres and Pluto, the only two mapped dwarf planets.

The material from which all planets grew was orbiting the Sun. When growing planets attract this material, they get larger but also faster, as they also take on the material's momentum. That's why large planets like Jupiter are generally faster!

Planetary rotations and tilts — compared!
Over 5000 galaxies in this extreme deep space image, some are 13 billion years and each contains up to 100s of billions of stars. This was only one 32-millionth of the whole sky! The Hubble space telescope tracked a tiny point in space on different dates. They added up the data so that a total of 23-days exposures were combined!

NASA - Hubble Goes to the eXtreme to Assemble Farthest-Ever View of the Universe

Ten years' worth of data went into compiling the Hubble eXtreme Deep Field, the deepest view of our universe ever created.

502 error, 502 error. Mastodon let me try to like you
Chefs made a 5-course space-themed meal for my talk and a screening of The Martian. This dessert was hands-down the best planet I've ever eaten, and in our line of work you end up eating them frequently
