Queer, trans-fem, nonbinary, neurodivergent (audhd), episcopalian, parent, spouse, union member/activist, State employee, and Vermonter. They/them.

Here to connect with other nerdy, queer, friendly, and/or neurodiverse people, and spread and support kindness.

I work in the court system, and know it needs significant reforms. Trans rights are human rights. Black lives matter. All people deserve love, respect and compassion.

I didn't ask to be non-binary and bisexual, but I would never change that aspect of myself, even if I was given the opportunity.

I like being part of the LGBTQIA community too much, and I'm proud of that.

Thanks to nature for making me like this

@Cal If that stress is going to prematurely age me, I deserve to get some extra birthdays out of it.
@Cal Whenever you decide you'll need an excuse. Movable, on demand birthdays for all!

A good while back, when I was in a really dark place, someone on Fedi paid me a nice compliment that made my day. I saved it.

I've been saving them ever since—every time someone's compliment makes my day better.

I have hundreds now.

All these little snapshots of kindness.

I look at them when I'm feeling down and having intrusive thoughts sometimes—they always make me feel better about the world, and about myself.

Pocket friends, what is something you wish the average person better understood about your profession or hobby?
@Cal I definitely feel this. And then there's the other issue that I get massive anxiety that my message could possibly be misconstrued, so I have to spend an inordinate amount of time on it. And add lots of asides and clarifications. And by then start worrying it's far too long to send. Etc. etc.

Please boost for freedom.

pre-coffee thoughts with Tilly:

last night Sirius sang to me
a bright greeting from long ago
a song of twinkling hope
and renewed resolve
reminding me to
look forward
with light from the past
to forge a better path
in the now

Reminded once again this morning how much of an impact you can make for someone, simply by showing them basic kindness and treating them as a human being. Particularly in a space where they may not expect it.

I am grateful that my job gives me opportunities to be that surprising face of human kindness for folks.
