Work, rest, and play.
25 years in Glasgow, proudly from South Wales, and work mostly in London (when not working from home). Henley MBA (leadership) and currently lead Digital Services for Passports in the UK and Civil Registration in England & Wales. Work keeps me busy!
Can’t believe they’re going to roll 2024 out to Production late on a Sunday, right before a public holiday, without testing it in Staging, and without fixing any of the bugs in 2023.
Pre-Christmas Christmas, complete with mini prawn cocktail!
I’ll never get used to eating this early but consoling myself remembering that this is my penultimate flight of 2023. Very much looking forward to a break over Christmas, and pledging to fly less in 2024.

i’ll be looking for work in the new year. before i do a bigger post, has anyone got anything fast-paced coming up? could do with moving at the speed of ideas for a bit. the last 12 months have been *fab* and i truly have loved it, just wanna switch gears for a bit.

thank you!

Hmm… helpful. What are the odds this was designed by a woman?

As we watch Elon Musk slide into rightwing radicalization in real time, I’m reminded of this 1941 piece by Dorothy Thompson.
“Who goes Nazi?”

In short: it is the people who love money and status and power that are at risk.
Those who resist the urge are the people who have a solid family life; a job they love for the work, not the money; a moral framework based on pluralism and equal access to opportunity.
Worth a read. #nazi #Twitter #liberal
