New Sensor Page
IEOTO User Interface Update (https://ieoto.space/)

We finally came around to add a long awaited function to the web user interface of IEOTO.

There is now a dedicated data page for every sensor of a network. The page features a graph of a selectable subset of the sensor data of all numerical channels, a map, with live position information and information on the latest received value from the sensor.

Following the introduction of dashboards (https://mapstodon.space/@Petabite/114030445964611940) we have now introduced a similar feature for any sensor data aggregation resource page.
Registered users see the latest recorded values for the selected sensor resource on every resource page.

The resource page is usually accessed from the result list of a search.

We have added a small but useful feature to the IEOTO user interface. In the main map view one can now add bookmarked products as a backdrop for the display of search results. This allows to see the search results in immediate relation to other items of interest that have been bookmarked in the past. Enjoy!

We have now included a simple geocoding feature in the area of interest editor. Search areas can now be set quickly by geographic names. A list of alternatives is also presented in case of ambiguities.

New data types in IEOTO (http://ieoto.space)

We have recently enabled the storage of a selection of freely available traffic data from #Hamburg.

IEOTO now stores Traffic counter and charging station information as made available by the City of Hamburg in real time. The data can be searched, downloaded and visualized in a personalised dashboard for account holders.

POLYKON Re-Launch

Wir freuen uns, zum erfolgreichen re-launch von POLYKON beigetragen zu haben. POLYKON ist ein digitaler Wissensspeicher für Polymere als Konservierungs- und Restaurierungsmittel.

Im Auftrag der Fachhochschule Potsdam haben wir die Anwendung mit aktueller Technologie neu implementiert um den langfristigen, sicheren Betrieb zu gewährleisten. Für die nächsten Jahre haben wir auch das sichere Hosting (https://polykon.fh-potsdam.de) übernommen.

IEOTO Data Service with a new Dashboard Feature

We are very pleased to introduce the new Dashboard Feature of our IEOTO Data Service. The dashboard allows to register any IoT/in-situ data stream for display in a dashboard. On the dashboard page all selected streams are shown with their lates available observation value in an orderly fashion grouped by their owner networks.

For our friends in the R world, we have compiled some demonstration code that illustrates how the IEOTO API can be utilized from within R applications.

The demonstrator covers search queries with result visualization in different maps as well as data download and plotting.

IEOTO Enhancement

The #IEOTO Service API (https://gitlab.com/petabite.eu/documentation/pb-ieoto-public-api ) just got a small but interesting update.

In the past you could only retrieve service data as a download operation. Now we have added the capability to access the latest submitted observation record as a JSON object. This allows our users to easily implement real time monitoring functionality.

The service UI update will follow soon with a view on in-situ observations in real time.

IEOTO Update: Data Search now available for all users

We are very pleased to announce that the search functionality of our #IEOTO data service (https://ieo.to) is now available to any user without registration or an account.
If you do not yet have an account please go ahead and try it out.

IEOTO allows to search for #Copernicus data products and various in-situ data types in a single query. There are also registered account classes with additional functionality.
