Listening to some classic turn-of-the-20th-Century literature. I have two observations.
1) My god, were authors back then paid by the word? This needed an editor. Sorry, Joseph Conrad, but tighten it up.
2) Oh no, the reader is Doing Voices. Not slight differences so each character is distinct – that's good and helpful. These are... *performances*. I think what he's aimed for with the main character who says the most is something in the region of "asthmatic bulldog".
