According to the London School of economics, Brexit has added almost £6bn to UK food bills in 2 years to the end of 2021, affecting poorest the most.
Food imported from the EU shot up because of extra red tape, adding £210 to the average food bills over 2020 and 2021. This has risen enormously in 2022 with more price rises to come in the new year as food manufacturers & producers costs filter throughout (30% in some cases I’ve spoken to).
