I’m a real person, I promise. I just haven’t had time to update this profile.

Jesus, can you imagine? And some people want me to go back.
A story in three parts.

If you are truly so intent to let them know you blocked them and why, don’t take the cowardly way out.

(3/3)

I’m not talking about obvious hateful, blanket statements. I’m talking about comments that get twisted because a person automatically assumes the worst. Essentially: “If you post something that MIGHT reflect an opinion that is distasteful TO ME, you’re getting blocked.”

Just fucking ask the person to explain before assuming. FFS. If they turn out to be shit, then you can block and let them know directly (or don’t).

(2/3)

If you’re gonna block anyone who expresses a hint of what YOU PERCEIVE TO BE a distasteful opinion, just shut the fuck up & do it. You don’t need to make a blanket announcement. Doing so shuts down any opportunity for discovery about a person.

#WFUV so good this morning!! 🎶🎶
@TRyanGregory A lot of these thoughts have been running through my mind as I figure out my masking practice. Thanks for putting this out there.

Twitter is now paying people to spread hate

Reminder: if you’re still on Twitter—your presence and your interactions generate revenue. You’re literally funding the alt right.

This is probably the best thing I ever posted on Twitter. The memory is pretty dear to me; I'm sharing it here so it still exists somewhere if that place collapses.

“But the weathered photo of Officer Venable had not actually spent decades in the mayor’s wallet. It had been created by employees in the mayor’s office in the days after Mr. Adams claimed to have been carrying it in his wallet.”
