@ianbetteridge The only good thing to possibly have come out of the World Cup debacle is that MORE people are seeing the awful side of Qatari rule. When the teams finish this sham they should do something about it.
@mollyjongfast I find that ‘over there’ I’m inundated with posts from right wing extremists. I’d been there for quite awhile and never had I seen such hate and bile. It is like a feeding frenzy.
@georgetakei What has happened today sickens me. It makes so angry that this will go without comment from those on the right of politics, as they know their rhetoric makes it even more likely in the future. They have no remorse and never stop their vile attacks.
@ashton It is sickening. As many have sadly said, it has been expected. Will rhetoric change? I don’t believe so. What must happen is we must ALL be vigilant and stand together against this abhorrent culture of hate. My love goes out to all the families and loved ones of the victims. So, so sad.
@mfowler There is a massive difference between ’Free Speech’ and ‘Hate Speech’ and the 2 should never be confused. However, where as many countries in the world have evolved their laws to accommodate social media and stamp out hate speech, America has not. Relying on a series of amendments written over 232 years ago for managing the world we now live in is laughable. Law is meant to evolve. Some politicians seem not to have.
