Here’s the book I’m currently reading. It is very difficult to put down! Definitely highly recommended. Educating ourselves helps drive out the fear that can lead to religious and racial tension - the world is a family - let’s be #kind and #understanding to the members of our family.

Wearing an Om sign on my neck chain could be a reminder to me of that I believe - because when I’m distracted by human conflict and consumerism - it brings me a deep sense of peace. However, I don’t want to be accused of cultural appropriation, which can be hurtful to indigenous people.
Nor do I want to be seen as another Gori devaluing the meaning of such things by turning them into a fashion item.
A Hindu friend says I shouldn’t care what others think. My internal debate continues
