@rbreich No victim? The bank reps said that, but weren’t other potential bank customers the victims? What about shareholders? Trump mischaracterized the risk that banks took on, so he was allowed access to more money and paid a lower premium for that money than alternative bank customers. Bank management is incentivized not to point that out. They were negligent in their due diligence.

@georgetakei why are you asking what we think of this? A deaf 12 year old frequently sleeps in her own bed at the foot of her parents’ bed to feel safer and a six year old usually leaves her room to sleep with her parents because… well, she’s a little kid and little kids wake up cold and scared frequently. It seems like reasonable parenting presented with a click bait headline. Not helpful to amplify

@MugsysRapSheet @QasimRashid It was being used as more than a tie breaker. My partner was until recently on the admissions committee for an Ivy Med school. People were ranked. The top x number were tentatively slated for admission. If that group wasn’t diverse enough racially, the person at the bottom was kicked off the list and someone lower down, but of an underrepresented race was added in their place. Iterate until racial diversity target was reached.

@Strandjunker This one is not R vs L split. This issue has split the left. Just read the comments in the (liberal readership) of the NYT. They are overwhelmingly pro Penny or at most agnostic.

@QasimRashid I get your point but the numbers are not going to age well as more people use cannabis. My coworker and his dog were killed instantly by a man driving on cannabis who crossed the center line. Humans will misuse it
