June 2026 Board for Proprietary Education Meeting
Amberton University has launched its first #doctoral program: a 100% #online Doctor of #Education (Ed.D.) in Counseling, starting Fall 2026. The 60-credit program includes an oral comprehensive exam and an applied project, with tuition at $625 per credit.
Elmwood Institute has been renamed Frontier Institute of Technology and goes by Frontier rather than 'FIT'.
Frontier maintains Elmwood’s programs:
Master of Leadership and #Management (MLM): still low-cost but — tuition $1,800 plus a $50/term tech fee and a $150 graduation fee.
BS in #DataScience and BS in #SoftwareEngineering: about $100 per credit.
Frontier retains Elmwood’s national accreditation from DEAC.
