This is corporate media today:
•CBS: fires Colbert for mocking Trump
•ABC: fires Terry Moran for slamming Stephen Miller as “world class hater”
•MSNBC: fires Matt Dowd for saying “hateful thoughts lead to hateful words leads to hateful actions”
•FOX: stands by Brian Kilmeade as he calls for Nazi style state murder of America’s 600,000 homeless people

Corporate media has wholly abdicated its duty to the American people. All to appease Trump. This is what state media looks like.

What a disgrace.

My last attempt I hit the back part with lvl 2 Old and lvl 5 death and killed it. I wonder if that was the difference this time. I might have let the Bard continue boosting strength and levels in phase 1 on more attempts.

Also interesting, I'm pretty sure the last two years all of my characters were alive at the end. This time it was just Krile, and apparently there's an ending for every combination of surviving members. So this time it was just Krile and some scenes like the Tycoon chancellor being frantic because there's no Lenna or Faris

Exdeath is a BITCH. Especially with one character berzerked. And he seems to conveniently ignore the Berzerker too.

If the first phase spams White Hole, I'm screwed. Then when I finally got the second phase down to the last of the four, I get spammed with Meteor and Comet and didn't touch the Berzerker. Apparently it does that when only one section remains. And I'm an idiot because I could have used death on the last part.

Anyways, using Bard to boost strength in the first phase and spreading out damage got me to the last section of the second phase after 7 or 8 tries. Then completely ignoring healing, I focused on only damage. My dragoon had enough power and damage avoidance (jump) to finish the fight as the last character left.

Also, I freaking love Gilgamesh in this game. I wish they made him this goofy in the rest of the games in the series.

Bonus saves from last 2 years.

Welp, I opened the chest with Shinryu and got wiped immediately. Whoops. Why does FFV put the two superbosses where you have to intentionally avoid them when they will TPKO an unsuspecting party? There's no way of knowing beforehand from the game itself. I can only imagine how frustrating that would be on the original which (I assume) doesn't have auto-quicksaves.

Side question, how do people feel about the purity of the rereleases adding quicksaves that can be reloaded? I beat FFIII's final dungeon (the 3D remake) without quicksave backups and it felt like a true accomplishment.

Rounding out my Blue Magic, I got Mighty Guard from Stingray. I KOd my Berserker so they wouldn't kill it on accident, since they're rare. I didn't realize they're pretty stout.

Then I went to get 1,000 Needles. I thought I was looking for a Cactuar. Turns out it's a Cactus. And also they don't use it without Control.

So I ended up going back to the Pyramid of Moore to get it from a Lamia Queen.

Going through the rift, I was going to try to get Roulette from Level Checker, but my characters were susceptible to lvl 5 Death. So I skipped that, and now I can switch the Dragoon's Learning sub-ability for Blue Magic.

PLOT TWIST: I got Roulette from Azulmagia. Almost stalemated due to Old and White Wind.

Iron Giants are tough when you have Berzerker constantly making him counterattack. I had to lvl up to counter lvl 5 Death from Azulmagia. Also, Alte Roite's Encircle is annoying AF.

I got Doom from the Sea Trench. According to my notes, I'm still missing Mighty Guard, Roulette, and 1,000 Needles.

I'll try finding a Stingray as you mentioned, if my Berserker lets me. I actually grinded a bit in the desert to not be a lvl 4 or 5 multiple and never saw a cactuar. So gave up on that one.

I forgot to get the song at the Library of the Ancients since you have to get it in World 3 before it gets voided. I wasn't loading an old save for it though.

I got all the pianos though. I'll use Hero's Rime sometimes when the party seems to be stable enough to be okay with a second character that I can't control (the Berserker being the first).

I breezed through the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th tablets. The one with all the undead my Bard could solo every random encounter with Requiem, Herme's Sandals, and Auto. I didn't even bother curing everyone on the way out after running through the lava.

I got lucky with my timing on Triton, Nereid, and Phobos.

Didn't get a single random fight in the physical half of the forked towers.

The hardest battle was a random Tonberry encounter.

Even Leviathan was easy with Apollo's Harp.

Onto the rift.

@TheZeldaZone

Edea is a playable character for a bit. Also, Kiros seems smart. Ward comes off as simple-minded, but level-headed. Quistis is pretty smart, but out of her depth for her age (although I think Cid was directly responsible for her downfall).

@JTO_is_Typing Berzerker was definitely what I dropped. Having a whole character I can't control sucks in general. No healing, no magic option, can't stop them from attacking a confused enemy.
