For those of you who are still getting over how incredible the season one finale of Andor was, this thread (over on bird site, fyi) thoroughly delves into all of its splendor

“After #Andor’s breathtaking season 1 finale, I’m calling it: This show is the best Star Wars content ever made.
Cassian finds his path with inspiration from Maarva & Nemik, Mon takes a huge step in Luthen's direction, and Ferrix reaches its breaking point.
All hail Tony Gilroy.”
TwitterThe folks on A More Civilized Age podcast made an intriguing point about Kino Loy's journey in this episode. When he says, "I'm going to assume I'm already dead and take it from there," that's probably because he can't swim and he knows he most likely couldn't safely escape. So it's no wonder he finally gets on board with Andor's plan when Andor says, "I'd rather die trying to take them down than die giving them what they want." Now that Kino knows the Empire will never let him go and he can't swim to freedom either, this is the only path that can give him purpose.
Ten Forward seems like an appropriate place to ask this nerdy question. Someone close to me is recovering from some health issues, and they can’t quite focus enough to read right now. They want to learn more about astrophysics from the lay person’s perspective, and they’re feeling a bit stuck. I’m thinking a podcast might be the way to go? Do any of you fine people have any recommendations for podcasts or other audio-based media that might be a good fit for a non-scientist with insatiable intellectual curiosity?
Well, it’s settled. After hearing from multiple people that Prodigy is a great show, I’m definitely going to check it out 🤓
I haven't really gotten into Prodigy yet, though I adore Lower Decks. Should I give it a try? Shows targeted at kids usually aren't a fit for me anymore now that I'm an adult, but this is Star Trek after all...
Who knows what some of those people may create in the future? Having been around the internet for quite a long time now, I’ve seen so many virtual communities come and go. There will be another one, no doubt, in time. I hope the next place we all come together will be better than what came before it.
I keep visualizing all the people fleeing the birdsite as if they were in the shuttles escaping the Narada at the beginning of the first Kelvin movie.
This is so neat! Alexander Siddig (Dr. Bashir on DS9) is having a weekly Zoom chat with his fans.

The Mary Sue@deepspacenoob Hey there! I don’t know if you hang out on Masto these days, but I’m psyched to hear you’re doing a watch party on Saturday. Will try to tune in! 🖖
Looks like the reason they haven’t given a fixed date for the Discovery Season 3 premiere is that they’re finishing it up remotely. Makes sense.
