The Polish husband wasn't really into reading Pan Tadeusz when he was back in high school but now appreciates it a lot more. So I actually found a very good Dutch translation (with footnotes!). Seeing as my Polish is still baby school levels this will be an easier read for me. The translator is Tom Eekman and has retained the rhyming scheme as well throughout. I am impressed.
