I have suspended pawoo.net for users posting child porn, and no admin action has been taken despite repeated requests.
I know some of you oppose suspensions, but I have to take actions to protect us.
Merely having cached images from this instance could be a legal liability in the USA. In this hostile legal climate, I would prefer to err on the side of caution.
I sincerely apologise for needing to perform this drastic step.
If you or your hosting provider are subpoenaed for any reason (which, if you are a public instance, could happen at ANY TIME) and they find such imagery, you are opening yourself to prison time.
18 U.S.C. § 2252 provides for harsh penalties for dissemination of child pornography: 15 to 30 years and an unlimited fine. State laws usually mandate anyone convicted be registered as a sex offender.
This is no joke. People have gone to jail for this for less.

Suggestion for new 🎺.☕️ users: I tend to start off my DMs with "(DM)" because I kinda don't think it's immediately obvious from the UI what's a DM and what's not, especially if you're new to Masto. Too easy to start reading the toot before checking whether there's an envelope or lock icon at the bottom. Just an idea! 😁
Lrs@Obi I like the way you think. It is how to get the most from it. The biggest problem for me is usually time to get out. In Norway it is in many cases 20h+ daily darkness from october to march, so basically the rest of the year I use for hiking/camping, and try to use as best as I can :) I'll try to use your approach on my next multiday hike :)
