Lost eight trees to incurable beech leaf disease today. Only two oaks left. 😥
Trees in front of my house. Why is this interesting? Because only the oak on the right (one of two) will be there at this time tomorrow. The four beeches, plus three more to the right of the picture, need to go. They're succumbing to Beech Leaf Disease, like every other beech in town. There's no solid cure or preventative, only a $750/tree treatment that has to be repeated every two years and might not even work. We'll miss them. 😢
