Here's a headline: CNN directly marks leftists for nationalist harassment by displaying their social media presences. I know it's a canard but imagine if a Chinese TV station with transnational reach were displaying the Weibo posts of leftists.

It seems like CNN is just completely out of touch with how the internet works, but there are consequences to exposing randos to millions of angry centrist eyeballs. It's difficult to see this as anything but menacing what counts as dissident behavior to them.
